The Kaplen JCC on the Palisades Holds 29th Annual Rubin Run on Mother’s Day to Promote Healthy Families
May 9th, 2010
On Sunday, May 9, the JCC will hold its 29th Annual Rubin Run. Slated for Mother’s Day, the family event will celebrate family togetherness and community in a day of shared fitness and fun. Named for the late Leonard Rubin, a past president and founder of the JCC, who always sought to do the most where the need was greatest, this is one of the most enjoyable and rewarding fundraisers the JCC holds. People interested in participating in the race can now register online at www.active.com or visit the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades website at www.jccotp.org for registration forms.

Featuring a 10K, 5K run/walk and spin-a-thon, the event will offer something for everyone – a continental breakfast, a carnival, activities for children, and as a special token, all participating moms will receive roses as they cross the finish line. The JCC’s professional fitness staff will lead pre-race stretches and warm-ups, and awards will be given to winners in each age category. Participants can run alone or create their own team of four or more to run the relatively flat course through the tree-lined streets of Tenafly, Englewood and Englewood Cliffs.

Besides participating in the event Orly is also voluntering and has contributed 2 paid advertising ads about the event on Yediot Ahronot and the Jewish Standard.

Lavish Lunches 2010 – Senior Citizen Fundraiser for the JCC on the Palisades

March 2, 2010
This not-to-be-missed culinary adventure begins with a light breakfast, featuring Bethenny Frankel, at the home of Elvira & James Grau, in Cresskill, NJ. Participants then choose from a selection of lunches, served in private homes, where hosts and hostesses provide a distinct and memorable dining experience.

Orly will be hosting one of the luncheons for 20 women at her home on the East Hill in Tenafly, NJ. Each participant will contribute a minimum of $150 for the senior citizens program held at the Jewish Community Center.
